a new kind of beauty

When You're walking in the darkness,
And you're feeling so afraid,
Just remember God is with you
Wherever you make your way
Though evil lurches at every side,
And delights in your ensnare,
And they ask you "do you love Him",
That's when you give the answer...
of truth.
And you say "yes, it's God I love",
You say, "my strength comes from above,
I need not fear for He is here,
And though you may look at me and sneer
Any time that you need Him,
Only call on Him and pray,
For He said this in His own words,
'I am the Light, the Truth, the Way.'"
So just belive and He will guide you,
And He'll always be beside you.
Just follow Him and soon you'll see
He is your destiny.

Don't take the "Christ" out of "Christmas"

In light of the Christmas season, I wish to impart a most crucial message* to those who tend to be tempted to abbreviate due to the haste of the holiday...

In other words, here is a silly little song with a serious message that I wrote up:

Don't take the "Christ" out of Christmas
He is the Reason for the Season
And if that's what Christmas is coming to,
The whole season's going down the drain

Don't find another way to say it:
"Happy Holidays," "Season's Greetings," "Merry Xmas"
Spell it right, write it boldly, say it pleasantly
"Merry CHRISTmas, from Jesus, from me."

If you think you can get away with saying,
"I've bought presents. I'm done! That's a cinch!"
While you sit there waiting for Santa Claus,
You're no better off than the Grinch!

SO.......(please)

Don't take the "Christ" out of "Christmas!"
That is my sole, my only plea.
If it isn't Christmas for Jesus, then
It isn't Christmas for me!

*Now, I both realize and recognize that the letter "x" in "Xmas" is actually greek and stands for the first part of Christ's name. However, I do believe that, for the most part, WE DON'T SPEAK GREEK MOST OF THE TIME, DO WE, NOW?!

Thank you for reading...

teach me how to dance...

here is one of my songs...
(I wrote this last spring)

Teach me how to dance, Jesus,
Teach me how to dance.
Show me how to worship,
Just give me a chance.
Lord, I wanna see You face,
I need some of Your amazing grace.
Lord, I only need a second chance.

Will You be thinking of me
When You rise up in all Your glory?
Could there be a lamer story
Than the story of me?
Will I see You just the way I am
Just come before You?
Cause I never grow tired of thinking of You,
But Lord, I don't wanna bore You.

But No!
No matter what they say,
I'll say "no!"
Cause Jesus, You are my way!
And oh, that took a lot of effort to say...
heyeyeah, I just want to
Dance....
